Overview
Snowshoes are a walking tool to walk easily on the snow. In recent years tours have been held in various places with the goal of wearing snowshoes, walking on the snow, and getting close to nature, thanks to being able to enjoy walking on the snow more easily than when using wakan style snowshoes, skis or crampons.
The real powder snow is here! Oku-Nikko is one of the few places in Honshu where you can find authentic powder snow. When walking with the snowshoes in the primeval forest, you will be able to experience a burned-over monument, a steep slope, and fun nature in the snow buried swamp. Everyone can participate in this tour where you can play in the snowy nature.

Tobu Nikko Station at 9:15
Oku-Nikko area at about 10:00
If you are driving, Nikko Station adjacent parking lot is 500 yen per day. For a different pick-up location, please check with us.

* Inner with heat retention and quick drying (synthetic fiber and removable is preferable)
* Snow boots (waterproof, high insulation trekking shoes. Snowboard boots are also okay)

* Rucksack (to keep your personal equipment)
* Lunch Box and drinks (2 drinks, hot and cold)
Snow boots up to size US 10 available for rent (¥500). If you do not have snow wear please contact us.

Tour Terms & Conditions
Please wear comfortable clothes. All of our tours depend on the weather and may be subject to cancellations due to wind, snow, etc. We make decisions based on many years of experience and always taking into account the safety and comfort of our visitors. In the event of cancellation, we will do our best to contact you before 7 pm the day before the tour. However, tours can be canceled at short notice for reasons of safety or other natural conditions. If a tour is canceled due to weather conditions, the cost is refunded or you can change your reservation to another day.

Cancellation Policy:
A fee will be charged unless the tour is cancelled 8 or more days before the tour date. Please see below:
7 to 2 days prior to your scheduled tour date, 30% of the total amount will be charged.
